Established The Mail Room in 2006. Fourteen years industry experience in developing and executing media relations campaigns. Previously established the PR division at ChilliBush advertising agency.

Leandri Smith – Director

New Zealand & Australia

Leandri has more than 14 years’ agency experience in corporate and consumer PR. Her career started in South Africa in 2003 while studying Communications and PR and soon after, with only 2 years’ work experience she opened her own boutique public relations agency. Leandri sold the business in 2011 to immigrate to New Zealand. She has 6 years agency experience in New Zealand, opened PR Republic in 2015 and merged with The Mail Room in August 2017. Leandri commutes between New Zealand and Australia to handle customer relations in both countries for The Mail Room.

Donovan Jackson – Senior Copywriter

A journalist and writer for more than 15 years, Donovan found the lure of information technology strong and entered this market in 2000. He joined Computerweek magazine as a senior journalist for a year before going freelance in 2003. As a prolific freelancer, Donovan has produced content on all aspects of the technology industry, from consumer and enterprise hardware through to software, business services and consulting. Contributing to titles as well as providing content production services for a very wide range of organisations, Donovan has worked successfully with an enormous cross-section of companies, from large (and small) public relations agencies, through to some of the most recognised global organisations.

Nolene Jackson – Graphic designer

New Zealand & Australia

After successfully completing a degree in Graphic Design and Multimedia, Nolene has racked up more than 13 years experience in the industry working in Advertising and at PR agencies. As a freelance graphic designer and creative director, she has successfully completed various projects including branding, advertising, packaging for a variety of consumer and business trade clients. She has an excellent knowledge base in her area of expertise and pride herself on always meeting deadlines. Nolene is able to diversify her work according to the project and can handle any print, as well as interactive projects.

Kerry Webb – Account Director & Specialist Writer

Kerry boasts a journalism, public relations and marketing qualification. She has over sixteen years experience in journalism, media and communications. Besides having extensive experience in developing and executing media relations campaigns. She is also confident in drafting all forms of business communication. She is the copy writer and accounts director for Mail Room’s clients in South Africa.
